The days are running so fast !
Dear entrepreneurs,
46 more days and 2024 will be over. Just like that?
It feels like just yesterday we were setting resolutions and making plans for 2024, doesn’t it? Now, the calendar whispers of a new year just around the corner—2025! The speed of time can be overwhelming, but here’s the thing: 2024 isn’t over yet.
I spoke with two friends in the past few days and something was common about the two conversations; both of them have ‘technically’ stopped thinking about 2024 and are busy preparing for 2025. Incidentally, both of them are business owners. These are the issues ! 2024 is not over yet; your big break can still happen within the remaining 46 days of 2024.
Don’t let the hustle for next year’s plans distract you from the opportunities still ripe this year. Use this time to refine your strategies, close those lingering deals, plan and execute that end-of-year sales program and lay the foundation for explosive growth in 2025.
Remember, the year’s not over until it’s over. The best stories are often written in the final chapter. So, keep pushing, keep innovating, and don’t stop believing in the possibility of a breakthrough—because 2024 still holds promise.

Nigeria’s inflation rate rises to 33.88% in October 2024
Nigeria’s inflation rate rose to 33.88 per cent in October from the 32.70 per cent recorded in September largely due to high prices of petroleum products. The October 2024 headline inflation rate increased by 1.18 per cent points compared to the September 2024 inflation rate. On a year-on-year basis, the inflation rate was 6.55% points higher than the rate recorded in October 2023 (27.33%). According to latest figures from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), food inflation rate in October 2024 was 39.16 per cent on a year-on-year basis, 7.64% points higher compared to the rate recorded in October 2023 (31.52%). CBN Issues Decisive Warning, Imposes 10% Fine on Banks Linked to Cash Hawking
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has issued a decisive warning to Deposit Money Banks (DMBs), cautioning them against cash hoarding and diversion as the festive season approaches. The apex bank emphasized that these actions will attract severe penalties, in line with its commitment to ensure efficient cash flow and curb naira abuse. In a circular dated November 13, 2024, signed by the Acting Director of Currency Operations, Muhammad J. Olayemi, the CBN outlined stringent measures to promote transparent cash disbursement.
